Dlish Scraps May Challenge Peach Kisses.

Well I thought l would get in one more Challenge this month. So l thought l would enter the Dlish Scraps Challenge, Peach Kisses. It's the first time l have finally used one of the Just Add Paper Kits and entered their Challenge.
I have enough of them lol, l buy them every month when they come out.
This is the Challenge Sketch.

I decided to stick with the Sketch, as l really liked it and it worked well on my page.
Here is some close ups of the loveliness on my page. I loved the little tag and pocket that came in the kit, with the feathers which were cut out and stitched, just beautiful.

Loved how this little cluster worked in well with my Black and White photo of my daughter.

I love adding these little slits and tearing the paper and inking them, on my pages. Added with a little mini rose.

And here it is all complete, l inked around the edges of the patterned paper, used a border punch, and also lots of Dlish goodies l could not resist that are all available over at the Dlish Store.
Why not go and check out the Dlish Scraps Store, there is so much loveliness to buy there.

Anyway thanks for looking at what l have been up to this week.
Until next time,

Deer and Fawn Designs Challenge.

I decided to have a play and enter the Deer and Fawn Designs monthly challenge for this month.
You  had to make 2 Project Life cards and include in a pocket page or a layout.

I thought l would do a Project Life page, as l haven't done any of these in ages.
I had some photos that l had taken of a Family weekend we had in Tasmania, when we went for my husbands work conference. They were taken quite some time ago, but were sitting in my drawer waiting to be added to my Project Life album.

I must say I really enjoyed making my own cards. They were so much fun to make, and l think from now on l will be making more of these to use in my Project Life pages and layouts.
I think they look great with the photos l have chosen to use, nothing like having something you have created yourself.

Why not go on over to the Deer and Fawn Designs blog and enter their challenges they have one each month. This months challenge ends on 31/05/15.  There is a great prize up for grabs too, donated from the store.

Here is what l have created. I  made 4 Project Life cards on this Pocket page.

And here are some close ups of those Gorgeous little Project Life Cards,

I used a stencil on this one with my Heidi Swapp Sprays.
Added some wash tape, a Epoxy Flair, arrow paperclip, and a Kaiser Sticker word. Also some l used the sewing machine with purple cotton, and sewed around the card.

This one l used the negative from a die l cut out, and sprayed it with my Heidi Swapp sprays and Dylusion Spray Bubblegum Pink. Added with some stitching around the card using a Gel pen.

This card l used a Heidi Swapp Stencil, and sprayed with Heidi Swapp Spray Teal.

This card l made using a Feather Die l got free from a Magazine this month.
I applied it to a 4 x 6 card with mounting tape.
Loved how this one turned out.

Now for the opposite page of my Pocket Page.

And now for some close ups on the cards l made for this Page.

With this card l made l sprayed it first with Sprays again,
then heat set it, with the heat gun, and then stamped over it with a stamp.
Then added a Chevron Background stamp over the card. Lastly l added a Black Butterfly l had in my stash, with a pink paperclip. I also used the sewing machine around this card too.

Another one of the Heidi Swapp Stencils l used on this one, with my sprays, and wash tape.
l always add some journaling too on my Project Life cards, to add information to my Pocket Pages for the future.

And last of all this little cute 3 x 4 card.
It was very simple just with a sticker l had in my stash, and also a quote title, along with more stitching
using the Gel pen.

Thats it for today,
thanks for stopping by.

Mad About Scrappin Share for this week.

This month l received this Gorgeous Kit to play with from Mad About Scrappin.
It contained the MME Jubilee Range papers, with lots of beautiful embellishments to play with too.

I really loved working with this range, as Bikes and Gold's are my favourite to work with.
So l created this Gorgeous page with a photo l had taken of some cupcakes l had made over the weekend.
It really suited these papers, and l just love how it all turned out.
I used a Kraft card stock for the background as a base. Then cut out a piece of white card stock 11 x 11 inches, and adhered to the Kraft base. So it looks like a frame around it.
I do this mostly to my pages, as l think it really stands out.
I just layered the MME papers under my photo, and added this little Gold Foil doily in the top left hand corner under my photo. I also added some flowers.

Here is a Close up of the bottom right hand corner, which l just added a Rose and a Flair, with a Green flower. Then l just winded some Gold and Cream twine around the cluster, and dangled a little bit of the twine down the page. l added Gold Chevron Washi tape, sprinkled with Gold Sequins. I also added a Love This quote with Mounting tape to give it dimension.

This was a really simple layout that l created in just under an Hour.
Enjoy your week.

This is my take on this months Challenge for Funky Flairs Studio. This Challenge mood board is Purple Haze. As the Challenge Artist for Funky Flairs Studio, l created this Mixed Media Canvas.

I used lots and lots of flowers, muslin, bling, doilies, two Flairs from the Cool Dude and the Funky Hearts Range. l also added different types of texture to create the background.

l coloured my background firstly with Gelatos. l felt like a little girl again, when l was scribbling yes thats correct scribbling all over the canvas. l then added water in a water brush and blended all the colours in together.
l then added Gesso over the background to lighten the effect, so it wasn't so bright.
I then added torn up script paper with a Gel Medium all over the Canvas. Then l added stamping to the background, and added a stencil.

I used a Prima Bloom Girl Stamp called Jing, that l had in my stash. I stamped her on Watercolour paper, and l coloured her with my New Prima Watercolour Pencils.

Had so much fun creating this Challenge. Can't wait until next month.
Make sure you check out over at the Funky Flairs Challenge Blog, so you can enter this months Challenge yourself. There is a great prize up for grabs this month.
